Japanese nationalism

Japan ranks the lowest of 17 rich countries in the number of people willing to fight for their country. Only 23 percent of Japanese are willing, as opposed to 90 percent of Norwegians and Swedes. Perhaps, it has something to do with the 36 percent of Japanese who are not proud of their nationality. Only 2 percent of Irish feel ashamed of theirs.Beautiful Japan 美しい日本

The blogger relates this statistics with Japanese nationalism or the lack of it. I am not sure if this can be direct poof of that, but it surely supports Pyle's judgement that there is no significant nationalist movement in Japan.
