Foreign kids to get help in school lives

The Osaka Prefectural Board of Education plans to train 300 educational assistants to help foreign schoolchildren who are not competent in Japanese and are suffering from culture shock, The Yomiuri Shimbun has learned.There are about 1180 students from foreign countries, including China, the Philippines and South Korea, at 356 primary, middle and high schools in the prefecture

According to the board of education, a Chinese student complained about cold rice in a bento boxed meal, and a Brazilian student was upset after the student's neighbors complained when he played soccer in a park

　
　大阪の教育委員が日本語が不得手であったり、カルチャーショックを受けている外国子女を支援するためのスタッフを訓練する予定している、とのこと。
ブラジルの児童が公園でサッカーをしていたら、近所から文句を言われたとありますが、どういうことなのでしょうかね。
中国の児童は冷えたご飯の弁当について不平がある、とのことですか、これも何が不平なのかわからない。

　ともかく、日本人には当然と思うことが他文化では当然ではない。他文化では当然と思えることが日本では当然ではないということは多々ある。そして、そうした文化的枠組みをもっていないから、相手がどう感じているのか、とういことさえ見当もつかない、ということはきっといろいろでてくるんだと思います。
大変な仕事でしょうが、これからもっともっと他文化を背景にした子どもたちが日本で暮らすようになるでしょうから、頑張ってもらいたいです。
また、他の都市でもこうした試みがもっとあってもよいと思います。
