　韓国政府が昨年10月にソウルで開催された韓米年次安保協議会（SCM）の席上で、韓国を米国の「核の傘」に入れる条項を共同声明から削除するよう求めていたことが分かった。

フランスがまた言い掛かり「宇宙船でキムチ食べるな！」　

　韓国の食文化に批判的だったフランスが、今度は世界的な食品として位置づけられているキムチにまでいいがかりをつけ始めた。宇宙船でキムチのにおいに我慢できないということだ。

　フランスAPFは16日、ロシアの宇宙船ソユーズに乗る韓国人飛行士のためにキムチを調達することが決定したことに対し、狭い宇宙船の中にキムチのにおいが広まり、飛行士の中にはそのにおいを我慢できない者がいるかもしれないと報じた。

　韓国側がキムチや唐辛子味噌、朝鮮人参などを乗務員のメニューに含めることに決めたが、気圧が低い宇宙船の中にキムチのにおいが充満するという説明だ。

　APFは「科学者らが2008年までにキムチを宇宙船のメニューに入れられるように加工する作業に着手したが、果たしてロシアの飛行士らがこのにおいが耐えられるかどうか疑問」と主張した。

　また、キムチに入っているニンニクと魚の塩辛の汁のにおいが漂うとし、キムチの否定的な側面を紹介した。

　一方、韓国科学技術部は13日、「韓国食品研究院のキム・ソンス博士チームに依頼し、韓国の伝統食品を宇宙食品として開発中だ。2008年4月に宇宙に向かう韓国人初の飛行士にこの食品を提供する計画だ」と語った。
