Korea/Taepodong

Pyongyang stunned Japan and the US in 1998 when it fired an intermediate range Taepodong-1 missile over Japan. He adds that while North Korea has not flight-tested the Taepodong-2, the regime has completed engine tests and has gained telemetry data from Iran, which has tested some of the Taepodong-2’s component missiles.

Mr Wolfsthal said: “To perfect this system they will need to do flight-testing. So they may feel some pressure technically for the need to test.”
